Treasure Hunt On Tung Ping Chau

Feel bored with going shopping malls and cinemas during weekends? How about a treasure hunt at one of the marine parks in Hong Kong? Let's go to Tung Ping Chau for a fun discovery!
Tung Ping Chau, the most eastern part of Hong Kong, is an island located on the northeast of Tai Pang Wan (Mirs Bay). When strolling along the coast, you can find seaweeds, peculiar shaped corals, spiked sea urchins and seashells scattered around the beaches. If you are lucky enough, you can even find the fossils of insects and plants. It would be more interesting than watching Discovery Channel at home.
This remote island is characterized by its shale formed from layers of volcanic and sedimentary rock tilting down to the sea on the east coast and upwards forming low cliffs on the west coast for ages. So it is not difficult to find mineral crystal and fossil there. The shale on the island has its own well-stratified pattern such as Kong Lau Shek, Nan Kwo Shui, Lang Lok Shu and Chau Keng Chau, which attract people to make a visit.
Tung Ping Chau is a deserted island. So the quiet beauty can be well preserved. Embracing the stunning seaview, the fresh breeze, and the roaring of the surf, you're now far away from the hustle and bustle¡K
